HOW TO ADD NEWS SERVICES TO YOUR
AXESS STORY PAGER

Right Key: Used to confirm and complete each step of programming.
Middle Key: Used to move the cursor and change
screens.
Left Key: Used to change the value of the
flashing digit.
Before entering the programming mode, you will need to set the date and time exactly as follows:
Date: 08/01/2020
Time: 8:30 AM
Be sure to begin the next step quickly to insure that the time does not change.
Remove the battery and re-install the battery while holding the left and center buttons simultaneously. Continue holding these buttons until “Set Cap 1” appears on the display. If the capcode appears instead, then the date was set incorrectly, or too much time elapsed and the date changed. You will need to reset the time as shown above.
1) Press the center button
twice and Set Cap 3 will appear on the display, then
press the right button. IMPORTANT: You can enter news service capcodes in any
order you like, but news service capcodes must start in capcode slot 3 and they
must run consecutively. For example if you set all news service capcodes into
your pager you will put them in capcode slots 3,4,5,6 & 7. Do not change capcode 1, capcode 2, or make
changes to any other settings.
2) Determine the frequency
of the pager and use the capcode lists below as your guide. Set the capcodes based on the pager’s
frequency. If the pager has a white square label with the number 6125, the
frequency is 929.6125. Otherwise, it is 929.5125.
You can pick and choose from the list which news services you would like your
pager to receive.

3) The leftmost digit will
be flashing, this is the cursor. Use the center button to move the cursor to the
digit you need to change. Use the left button to change the value of the digit.
Continue this process until you have set the entire capcode. Then press the
right button to complete the process and return to the menu.
4) Press the center button
one time to go to the next capcode slot and press the right button to allow
programming of this capcode.
5) After you have entered
the last capcode you want to change and have returned to the menu, (The screen
should read “Set Cap 7” for example) keep pressing the center button through
all of the remaining capcode screens. Keep pressing the center button to bypass
Collapse, Set Option, Msg Capacity, Set Language

changes.
